Jesus, I'm just making a freaking observation! I only mentioned it because I thought Boru's comment of how stupid Janet Jackson was was a little harsh considering the fact that Harris IS lighter-skinned than one would expect. I personally don't care if she's purple under black make-up.

Go to Wikipedia and look up Kamala Harris.  Then click on her mother's name which will take you to her picture.  She appears to be quite light-skinned.

Perhaps it was one of her parents who had an affair.   * eyeroll *

And while looking...maybe search things like genetics and recessive genes and things like that before you make such a racist remark.

Dipshit.

The funniest things about Jackson's comments are 1) her own brother's efforts to appear less black through surgery and skin-bleaching, and 2) her own efforts to appear less black with the nose job, neither of which she mentions at all.

My sis has three children from her interracial marriage. They each have different complexions. They're all beautiful.

I don't give a shit about the races of Harris's parents. Not imputing this to you specifically, but the "reasoning" behind the Republican attacks smacks of the whole quadroon thing. Because if she was a nobody on the street, they'd surely treat her like a black person in America. We both know they'd be thinking "there's some black in the woodpile somewhere". Yet now they're attacking her for not being black.

It's a race card too. Don't give it any oxygen.

Janet Jackson’s comment was stunningly stupid because she said Harris’ father was white, simply because some one told her that. She accepted it as true because she hadn’t watched the news in a few days.

If you’d prefer, I’ll call her comments ‘grossly ignorant’ rather than ‘stunningly stupid’. All better now?

Maybe what Janet Jackson should have said.

Hayley Williams, front woman for Paramore, has called for people to vote in November and in particularly has asked them not to vote for Donald Trump.

In the last couple of months, Harris, Walz, Gavin Newsom, Hillary Clinton, and AOC have all called for government censorship of social media.

They want to stop the spread of "misinformation," with the government of course deciding what misinformation is.

I know Orange Man Bad and all that, but we should be aware of what the other team is offering.

Normally, I'd ask for a source to support such an outrageous, idiotic claim, but we all know how that would go.

Trump says he won't run again if he loses to Harris.

That's the thing: he never loses. If he loses this time, he'll say he won but it was rigged, so he'll run again.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Yeah, I don't mind them going after Chinese and Russian bot presences, considering what those have tied doing with our elections and society at large. I assume that stuff doesn't bother you.
