Now, before you get your knockers in a twist read up on the difference between concentration camps and death camps. America did not run death camps. Neither did the British in the Boer War. Both ran concentration camps, in order to concentrate those they deemed enemies into easily guarded cages.
Please stop presupposing I am unaware of what the concentration camps of WW2.
Do you trust a Hollywood actor that the temporary shelter and processing camps established along the border under the Obama administration to actually be concentration camps?
Likewise, do you believe that the multi-billion dollar industry heavily tied not just to some of the most powerful corporations in the world but also some of the largest criminal organizations and deeply entwined with (at least) one of the world's largest governments might have incentive to mischaracterize and misrepresent the truth in an attempt to protect the status quo within the government?
Case in point - the child crying with his head on the concrete, alone in the cage, cover photo for months... taken in 2014, Obama administration.
Can you present any objective evidence that a person's testimony is less reliable, if they happen to be a "Hollywood actor"? Only you keep making this baseless claim.
That last sentence is called whataboutism, it is manifest in the irrational assumption that wrongdoing can be waved away out of bias in favour of one person, just because it is manifest in the behaviour of others. Your example for what it's worth, suggests the way immigrants are treated by the US is unnecessarily cruel, and the bigoted rhetoric aimed at them by people like Trump, and many of his supporters surely can't help improve that.

Yup you seem to keep presupposing none of us have any negative feelings towards the Obama administration.

Tossing around conspiracy speak in response to a guy who happens to be an actor giving his own personal take based on his own personal experience like it's some devious plot makes you look paranoid and unhinged.

Which didn't actually mischaracterize what was going on when that picture was used . Also no one here is defending Obama's track record on immigration. Your grasping at straws to dismiss Takei's experience because it runs contrary to what you want to accept

Takei wasn’t talking about the border camps as part of a project for a movie. He’s talking about them as a person who went through something similar.
And how exactly is speaking up against these inhumane conditions, which you yourself admit happened under Barack Obama as well as under Donald Trump supposed to be protecting the status quo within the government? Given that this horseshit has been going on for over a decade under multiple administration, interning immigrants under inhumane conditions practically is the Status Quo within the government. I wonder holocaust survivor said the same thing he would so glib in his dismissal

Being a Hollywood actor doesn't invalidate someone's words that's an ad hom plain and simple. Prove his words wrong don't attack his occupation.

Yes, I do. Definitionally, those 'temporary shelter and processing camps' under Obama were ABSOLUTELY concentration camps.
Next stupid question, please.
Boru This guy persists under the delusion that we have no issue with Obama's immigration policies

Indeed cruelty has been the point of the American immigrant internment process using it as a means of deterrence and it's never worked

The way I see it is that if the dictatorship was really just one voting away then it was bound to happen sooner or later. Some may say that Republicans needed to lose these elections to learn a lesson and change, but they wouldn't change just like they didn't change after the elections in 2020. Fox News and Newsmax wouldn't go away either.
The only thing left now is to wait and see. People believe them, and the only arguments you have now are hypotheses of what they might do according to what they said. If Republicans want dictatorship, people will need to be convinced into that by what they'll do.
Let them dig their own grave. The game has obviously changed if the dictatorship is now one of only two options on the ballot.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Do you trust a Hollywood actor that the temporary shelter and processing camps established along the border under the Obama administration to actually be concentration camps? You already admitted knowing what a concentration camp is. We also know what features the US internment camps in WWII had as well as the camps under the Obama administration. No one needs a Hollywood actor to evaluate the known facts with regard to the validity of calling them "concentration camps".
Your "Stoopid libruls are manipulated by elites and Hollywood actors" is a silly stereotype, either ridiculously stupid or even more ridiculously dishonest.

The right are really funny on this one they will shit all over Hollywood actors until they agree with them . I'll never forget Clint Eastwood raving at an empty chair to thunderous applause.

Being so obsessive with what this specific Hollywood actor said, we might ask TWM if this has anything to do with him holding any bigotries against gay people. Place your bets.
