I guess there were hundreds of dates so far for the "end of the world" interpreted and re-interpreted and re-re-interpreted from the bible. And they ill continue to be. Many christian articles lack logic - they can get to absurd conclusions even from logical premises - so I really have no interest to see how they got to that date.
I thought it was dec 23? All these dates and years confuses me.

Makes you wonder really, do these nut cases have jobs? Seems they spend way too much time worrying about the end and trying to 'save lives' sorta speak, than actually living a life.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan
Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity. Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist. You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.
Yeah, I'm way too busy in my day-to-day life to worry about the end of the world.
But I have to wonder at the people who love to believe in end-of-the-world scenarios. I mean, you have all the stupid 2012 people running around, and before that there were the Y2K people stockpiling food & supplies. Then there's the Planet X people who think that there's a planet being steered by aliens which will come close enough to earth to shift the poles etc. I mean, are these people's lives so shitty that they wish for the entire planet to be destroyed? I'd rather enjoy the rest of the time I have on earth and try to make it a better place for my children rather than have hope that it's all going to end soon.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.

Consider, you have to work to earn money. But the clergy (pastors, priests, imams, whatever) has the job (paid by the state) to do some political stuff, organize things, etc. and imagine scenarios and theories to feed the people with. It's the pastor/priest's job (really, it's a job) to tell people what to believe. And the money comes from the state :). Isn't that 'nice'? :))
Listen.....I have a very important philosophical question that needs to be answered. So put your thinking caps on....except the xtians who don't have thinking caps.
