At the exact time she'd become distressed her sister was being told by a doctor that her infant son was probably going to die (he didn't).

My father's twin had a similar experience when my father had a serious accident.

One of Britain's most senior psychiatrists said: "Psychiatrists who don't believe in telepathy should find another profession".

Another "senior psychiatrist" told one of his patient's ... who brought up the subject of telepathy: "Telepathy is impossible! All people who believe they have telepathic experiences are mentally ill".

Twins are often closer to one another than with other siblings.

One of my uncles is an identical twin.  I have an aunt and uncle who are twins.  So far, I have heard of nothing paranormal happening between either set.

I will check with Sherry next time I talk to her if she has had any of these experiences.  Being in her 70s, I'd assume it would have happened by now if it was going to.

Ah, there's that old psychiatric open-mindedness we all know and love. These people really do know everything there is to know, don't they? They couldn't possibly be wrong, under any circumstances, no that's impossible. It's a good thing there are psychiatrists in the world to set things straight for all of us scrubs who don't know anything.

I don't believe in an afterlife.  Some people want there to be an afterlife but that does not make it exist.

Have you ever wanted there to be an afterlife?

When I was a kid I sort of believed in the possibility.  But I believed in Santa and the Easter Bunny too.

I would just have to wonder if any kind of afterlife would be able to justify all the suffering we get put through, as humans. What could be good enough to justify this shit?

So we're going to use these powers pretty much just to have fun then, right?

Another strawman.

The will to believe is strong in some folks -- even atheists.

Is it strange that I feel the presence of James Randi?

Maybe that's just wishful thinking. Levitate
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
