I had a nasty bruise once because of a mistake a phlebotomist made when I volunteered to give blood. She inserted the needle into the blood vessel in my arm but went completely through it and out the other side. It bled under the skin and I ended up with a bruise that was half the length of my forearm.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
