Americans Unite - Behind Cold-Blooded Murderer

RE: Americans Unite - Behind Cold-Blooded Murderer
The NHS is far from perfect, but it is vastly better than the alternative, I need regular medication to control high blood pressure and asthma, my wife needs insulin and other drugs for her diabetes, this does not cost me a penny (to be fair, I get free prescriptions due to the fact that I am an old fart, otherwise there is a small charge) I cannot imagine what the cost would be in the US. We do pay for it in out tax, but a lot less than the cost of insurance in the US. I also have the option (freedom!!) to "go private" if I want to.
The meek shall inherit the Earth, the rest of us will fly to the stars.

Never underestimate the power of very stupid people in large groups

I agree your rhetoric is blunt, but then facile rhetoric generally is, and you've leaped from that to a straw man. A country that embraces endemic private gun ownership, will likely see a corresponding increase in gun crime and violence. Embarking private gun ownership is a moral choice, geddit?
Quote:Back to back world war champions, knocked out the Soviet Union, has the Russian military hampered by sending 5% of it's 50 year old equipment to Ukraine, world leading economy, world leading social power, the ability to defend myself on my property instead of waiting 45 minutes to an hour and a half for police to reach me... I know it rubs the rest of the world wrong, but we will keep doing what got us here, thanks.
Regardless of the moral cost, yes I get it, you don't seem to, and no it doesn't run me anyway, I don't live in the US. Nor would I choose to, though I am sure there are some lovely places to live.
Quote:The only gun problem America has is in inner cities, with cartel members, and with those individuals who commit suicide - which means it's not a gun problem but a social problem.
What a spectacularly stupid lie, but even were this true, it wouldn't alter the fact that the massive amount  of privately own guns is driving some gruesome corresponding statistics on gun violence and deaths. This remind of the failed religious programme of trying to convince young people not to have sex, rather than educating them about how to be safe, it also had corresponding catastrophic results.
Also if it takes 45 minutes for the cops to get to you that's not argument for guns that's argument as to why your cops suck because I have never had to 45 there here in 5 and I've ln some bad neighborhoods never needed a gun in my life.

Remember it's uncivilized to feel no sympathy for a guy who made huge profits letting old people suffer from strokes and falling and cancer and got shot probably by someone he screwed over . But it's totally civilized to let him do that.

Wealth inequality increases the chances for class warfare. I'm not sure this was an act of an independent individual, but enmity between the haves and have-nots increases the risk of violence.

Just to be clear, your position that a moral - i.e. a civilized - society should cheer when a man, charged of no crimes, is unlawfully executed in public with risk of bystandards bang harmed?

I see where the left "fear" of guns comes from; they project their own fantasies on everyone else.

Cheering for people being murdered is *not* moral or civil, barbarian.

Just because a man is charged with no crimes doesn’t mean he’s not a complete shit.

And, for the record, I’m not one of the ones cheering his murder. On the other hand, I’m not particularly verklempt about it, either.

His rather predictable response also ignores the fact that whomever he claims to be at the mercy of for those 45 minutes, is exponentially more likely to have a gun, in a country where they proliferate through lax gun laws, and a multi billion dollar industry in supplying them.

The CEO was from a town in Iowa, one state over. The local news that night was all about singing his praises. Even had his school principle interviewed.

(Bold mine)

I rather think the fear of guns comes from the fact that most people dislike getting shot.

It's okay to celebrate death. Some cultures do it.
