Apparently, Maxwell’s attorney David Markus made a statement saying in part:

If this Committee and the American public truly want to hear the unfiltered truth about what happened, there is a straightforward path. Ms. Maxwell is prepared to speak fully and honestly if granted clemency by President Trump.

Only she can provide the complete account. Some may not like what they hear, but the truth matters. For example, both President Trump and President Clinton are innocent of any wrongdoing. Ms. Maxwell alone can explain why, and the public is entitled to that explanation.

And rather disturbingly, it seems like, from what I know about Trump, the biggest sticking point may very well be that Ghislaine is exonerating Clinton as well as Trump.

Yeah, that's kind of what I suspect both Trump and Maxwell want to do. Maxwell wants to not spend the rest of her life in prison, and Trump wants to somehow not be implicated in his old buddy Epstein's escapades.

He could be telling the truth, and his incompetent coverup will damn him all the same. 83% of republicans believe that the government should release all the files. 1 month ago only 6% would tell a stranger taking a deeply and overtly partisan poll they believed he was covering up his involvement. That number has doubled.

Bill Gates addressed his connection to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and “took responsibility for his actions” during a town hall meeting of his nonprofit Gates Foundation on Tuesday, the nonprofit said.

“Bill spoke candidly, addressing several questions in detail,” a Gates Foundation spokesperson said in a statement. The Wall Street Journal first reported news of the town hall.

Gates appears multiple times in the Justice Department’s release of documents connected to its investigation of the late financier. The Justice Department’s files include email correspondence between Gates and Epstein about philanthropic projects, calendar entries documenting dates they got together, and photos of Gates at events the two men attended.

Gates has not been accused of any wrongdoing in connection to Epstein and denies any knowledge of Epstein’s crimes. Gates has said he had met with Epstein to discuss philanthropy and believed he could help Gates raise money for issues like global health. “Every minute that I spent with him I regret and I apologize that I did that,” Gates told Australia’s 9News earlier this month.

Photos and mentions of Gates in the Epstein files have attracted increased attention since the Justice Department released millions of documents last month. Last week, Gates pulled out of delivering the keynote address at the India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi “to ensure the focus remains on the AI Summit’s key priorities.”

The Justice Department has published additional Epstein files related to allegations that President Trump sexually abused a minor after an NPR investigation found dozens of pages were withheld.
They include 16 new pages that cover three additional FBI interview summaries with a woman who accused Trump of sexual abuse decades ago when she was a minor. Also included are two pages of an intake form documenting the initial call to the FBI from a friend who relayed the claims.
NPR's investigation previously found 53 pages that appeared to be missing from the public database.
