While I was watching the local news last night they had a woman on who called in to reflect on the killing of Osama. She actually said that they got him due to the ground work that Bush did, then preceded to bash Obama. WTF? This isn't going to matter to the tea baggers. They will still find fault in Obama over this. Scum bags.

The teabaggers and birthers (arent they the same?) will not be swayed. They will be neo-cons and Libertarians to the end.

The centrists and swing voters, on the other hand, will easily make or break an election.

Yes, why can't we have a three-party system like Britain has? And why can't those three parties be distinguishable from each other, unlike in Britain?

The only thing the Democrats and Republicolibertarianazis agree on is the absolute inadvisability of allowing a 3d party.

The republicans will be hard pressed to run anyone against him and I feel so strongly about this that I would bet it all that Obama gets re-elected based just on the votes of the people happy that he got Osama.

I wouldn't bet more than a dollar. There's a lot of time between now and November 2012 ... people can be very forgetful.

I agree. Look at how the poor economy made Bush Sr. a one-term president, and this after winning such a decisive military victory called Desert Storm.

Clinton ran an extraordinary campaign against Bush who looked old and disinterested much of the time. There was one famous shot of him, during a debate, looking at his watch.

Also, Clinton was helped by Ross Perot running and siphoning off some of the whack-job votes that would have gone to Bush.
