As it said in the article. It would be quite scary for the patient to have a nurse that prayed for them, it's like they can't save them.

Yeah - kind of shows praying up for how weak it really is, really, doesn't it?

Normally the nurse would be trying to save them, but since he/she cannot he/she has to resort to 'praying for them'.
