Certain activities do affect the brain, such as playing Tetris, for example. See this article.
As a parallel argument, it would be incorrect to say that all the Tetris addicts do not have a choice in playing Tetris just because their brains are like that. Rather, what happened is that the structure of their brains changed as a result of playing Tetris. In the same way, it's' also possible that the brains and/or the genes of homosexuals were changed or altered as a result of homosexual activity (although I didn't see any evidence for that).

So, along your line of reasoning, are some things which affect neural development and operation to be praised, whereas others are to be condemned, and if this is so, how do you arrive at the proper set of judgments? Please don't trot out a holy text, because that will just put you back in the rubbish bin. Since you are using science here (after a fashion), extend your reasoning, and show your rubric.

Whether it's by a gay's choice or genetic, it doesn't really matter. It's not wrong, and I think anyone who thinks it is needs to fucking get in the 21st century.

Well, I have to be honest and say that my judgement is based on a holy text and therefore my perception of the science of homosexuality is also affected by that belief.

Maybe they don't have a choice, afterall. But being gay just seems a little weird to be something which is equally natural as being straight.

And this is one of the many things in which secular morals and religious morals are in conflict. So, ultimately, everyone is free to believe that homosexuality is not a bad thing even though I may defend it.

So ultimately we should stop letting religions govern our lives, fuck them off and live by rules which we as human beings can agree with.
But maybe this thread isn't the one to go down that road

I use to believe it was by choice but found that to be wrong after being showed animals acting on it. I agree with Rayaan on that it isn't sinful to have this feeling rather it's sinful to act on it.

And here I was thinking that I was the only one who thinks that way. We as people haven't got the right to tell other people what to do or not do. (I'm positive somebody has already said that, because it's so fucking obvious) It isn't a good thing for people who believe in a God to get arrogant about something because they have a holy text that was "Written by God Himself". (Again, someone has probably said this twenty times, but it applies best here I think)

Even though I personally think the world would be far better off without religion, i'm not one for forcing it. They have the right to believe it's wrong (homosexuality) and all the power to them, but i'm sure as hell not gonna *EDIT* --> DISagree and i'm gonna have something to say about it

Filthy sinners!
In response to the dumbass commenting: "Those limey wankers. Also, whenever you see a word from the original story spelled blatantly wrong, it's because the British approach to grammar is fucked."
Does he realise the english language was created by, wait for it, the english?
But yeah, there were spelling mistakes I guess.

Of course, people have their own views, there are plenty of Christians and Islamic people I've met that believe homosexuality isn't a sin. It depends on how you interpret the Bible, Koran, or any other holy text. (And if you practice it of course) I would only know this because I interpret different holy texts as a hobby, however. It's kind of sad that I get so into these debates at my age, though.
