Yahweh didn't get to be omnipotent until the NT.

So the God who created a universe is not omnipotent. WOW! that's a mind blower.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

There are so many religions and just because you are born to certain faith parents it doesn't make it true, you should understand that. Or because in your country it is a predominant religion.

Pel, don't worry to much about offending religious people. I have found that they are usually most offended when you've got them cornered with their own handbook.

I believe I've answered this for you before, if not here goes. If you did believe in God would you want Him to make you behave as a robot doing only what He tells you to do and giving you no freedom to make your own decisions, if you are human then I would think you would not. Man would have demanded freewill if God had not give it at the start, freewill came with a debt and ultimately God himself paid the price for that debt because we were unable to, now that is true love.

RE: What does God deserve?
I used to pray five times a day when I was in prison. I new the quran and the hadith. One of my friends was Christian and he used to talk about Christianity and I used to think:"Is he right, I mean all this love your enemy sounds true". But there was the old testament that would destroy all that thinking.

And honestly, I believed in God and I still do but at the time I was just being loyal to TRADITION, nothing else. It wasn't easy snaping out of it but I did. It was same ad snaping out of drugs wich I have unfortunatelly abused.

The bottom line is you have to put truth above tradition. Simple as that. Or what ever you personally believe.

Peace and thanks

Awesome contradiction!!

Your last sentence ends with god showing us his TRUE LOVE.
... and right below that, in your signature box, you have a "quote from GOD" reading: "A casual stroll through hell proves that faith is everything."

Just an awesomely epic fail. Big Grin

First of all. Truths - only to you and the brothers-in-christ. Pointless reminder: Your bible is proof of nothing.
Secondly. The contradiction is very very very clear ... and THAT is the fail.

Sorry Cinjin I see no contradiction, God paid the price so that all could avoid hell, so a glimpes at reality would help one to see better.

That's alright GC, we're all use to it. Sadly, your kind will never see the contradiction ... because you do not want to.

So (YHWH) is not omnipotent. WOW! that's a mind blower.

I'll look up the verses later but there are a number of OT verses that refute the idea that Yahweh was omnipotent.

- Yahweh created the universe in six days. Why not instantly?
- Yahweh needed to rest on the seventh. Later, he confided in Moses that he was "refreshed" from his rest on the seventh, indicating exhaustion.
- Yahweh has the strength of a unicorn.
- Yahweh could not drive out an army that had iron chariots.
- Yahweh "tried" to kill Moses and obviously failed.
