There's a word for disbelief in Santa and other faery tales. Sane.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Lol. Is it too early in my posting career then to reccommend these forums be changed to the "sane" forums?

That would be deceptive, some posters are atheists, but not all are sane.

By any standard definition of the word, atheism is not a religion.

We need churches- or temples, or mosques or . . . well, buildings basically.
A place where we can gather together once a week and teach the truth as we know it. Kind of a anti-church, with stained glass representations of single-celled organisms.
Imagine the great cutesy sayings we could come up with for the sign outside the building:
"God called- he said you were a gullible idiot."
"Be kind to your brother. At least he exists."
"In reality we trust."

You are standing in the largest anti-church that could possibly exist. Churches are built as a way of separating that which is inside, from that which is outside. A wall insulates the faithful from the faithless. A wall can be made of brick, stained glass, or ignorance; but a wall by any other name......

Problem here is, and we get them coming in here all the time, is that most theists who argue this don't know, and usually don't want to know, what atheism actually means. They only care about proselytizing their beliefs and reinforcing those by trying to be intellectually dishonest by wanting to either hear an admission of guilt or the magic words "I don't know" from us. They are not here to learn.
I had a similar conversation with a batshit crazy Christian woman who didn't understand she was a monotheist. Any attempt to try and help her understand the differences between theism and atheism and what the labels actually meant she would change the subject or follow up with a non sequitur response.
We wouldn’t have even graced a month before someone comes barging in here trying to tell us we’re just atheists because we want to sin. There's no point trying to reason with people like that.

Of course it's not a religion!
