Yep, that's how I deal with bigotry. I personally don't feel that praise from people such as yourself is much of a compliment.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I have been pregnant 4 times and had all 4 children. I put the youngest up for adoption because I can't personally have an abortion, but if I needed to have one, I would want that option. I am with George Carlin all the way: "Conservatives want live babies so they can grow up and be dead soldiers." Stem cell research is often included in the pro lifer's rhetoric. This is total bullshit. You know they freeze those embryos, right? You can't freeze babies! But you can freeze cells, and dead people. Remove faith from brain, replace with logic and actual thinking and it all becomes so clear... amazing. 42
Where aren't you?

Perhaps it is you who finds logic scary, you just committed a fallacy of composition here. Just because the baby is inside you it doesn’t make it part of your own body. It has its own completely separate and functioning genome. That by definition makes it not part of your body. Quote: but if I needed to have one, I would want that option. More fallacious logic, just because you want something to be a certain way does not logically mean it should be that way. Quote: I am with George Carlin all the way: "Conservatives want live babies so they can grow up and be dead soldiers." George Carlin? Do you always base your concepts of morality on dead comedians? I will admit though, he was pretty awesome in Shining Time Station. Quote: Stem cell research is often included in the pro lifer's rhetoric. This is total bullshit. Assuming the proof, apparently you can freeze babies because embryos are babies and according to you they are being frozen. Furthermore, what makes you think that anyone who has worldview with one particular sentiment has a monopoly on said sentiment? Let's be serious for a moment, Stat. You think what you think is the truth and are convinced my "worldview" (as if you have any knowledge of such a thing) is utterly incorrect, yet you have no idea what my worldview is. That is not to say you are stupid, but that I believe you purposely ignore your own false tenor, so to speak, so that you don't have to suffer through actually scrutinizing your position or "worldview."

You know I'm quoting Wiki right? lol.

Have you ever been pregnant? Obviously not. If abortions were outlawed by society, do you honestly think that abortions would no longer occur? They would! It would be just another black market. It's main customers would most likely be young girls whose parents would have a conniption fit if they knew their lily white daughter had sinned in such a way. All that abstinence talk didn't work?! Shocking. They'd go and get abortions on someone's kitchen table with a coat hanger and the towel that was just used for drying dishes, and either die there, or months later from an excruciating infection, but hey, they deserve it right! Fucking baby killers.
Why is it wrong for me to base my concepts of morality on dead comedians, but okay and super duper for you to base yours on dead men from the dark ages and men that may or may not have even existed? Embryos are NOT babies. They're extremely valuable and freezable goo. If your morals stand in the way of something so scientifically valuable to the living members of the human race, then your ignorance is beyond measure. 42

Whoa wait a second! You have knowledge of the elusive Bible contradictions? We had a little challenge in the other thread for people to present these alleged contradictions and nobody could even present a Bible discrepancy much less an actual real logical contradiction (x and not x in the same relationship and at the same point in time). If you truly possess some knowledge about contradictions in Christianity that nobody else who claimed to possess actually did in the other thread I suggest you enlighten us all. Quote: Out of curiosity, how does "Don't waste your time trying to convert people." steal from your worldview? It was actually the faint appeal to transcendental morality that you made in your statement that I was referring to. A standard of morality that transcends all humans is impossible in an atheistic universe but something atheists love to steal from Christianity. Quote: Furthermore, what makes you think that anyone who has worldview with one particular sentiment has a monopoly on said sentiment? It’s not important what I think; it’s important what logic discerns to be the case. Atheistic worldviews cannot give account for transcendent standards of morality or other transcendental universal abstract entities such as the laws of logic. They always become mere arbitrary conventions and thus lose all meaning in an atheistic worldview. Quote: Let's be serious for a moment, Stat. You think what you think is the truth and are convinced my "worldview" (as if you have any knowledge of such a thing) is utterly incorrect, yet you have no idea what my worldview is. I actually do have an idea (although I'd love for you to elaborate on what it is), I know it has to be atheistic, and there are only a handful of atheistic worldviews and I know that all of these worldviews have been demonstrated to fail when it comes to accounting for the reality of certain truths. Quote: You continuously interject that you know the "truth," fail to prove and call something like Christianity "consistent." I hope that you realize how difficult that makes it to debate with you. I appreciate your desire to converse with me, but if you expect me to give up my ultimate authorities and allow you to keep yours I just can’t do that. We can have a conversation where we both adhere to our ultimate standards if you’d like. I am afraid that is the only option because there is just simply no neutral ground to meet upon. |
