Yes, I was content to be that way, that's really what was sad about it. I was resigned to a meaningless fate, you could say. I just thought it was normal to be messed up. That seems to be the norm, that everyone has problems, no one really talks about them, and we all smile really big and keep going.

What makes you the expert in geology to say that it was "supernatural"...
Or were you actually observing some mountains while watching your Supernatural DVDs on you portable player?

Quote:That was definitely good enough for me to suspect that reality wasn't as it appeared, however, there was a lot more that happened that day, and next week or so. I am just giving you the gist of it. It got to the point where I had no choice but to throw up my hands and say God was real. You have to remember, I wasn't looking for such revelation..it's not like I wanted to believe God was real..that was the last thing on my mind.
I don't want the mere gist of it, I want all the grisly details. For your own sake even, because you really made it sound like looking at some mountains made you catch religion.
Being honest I find you quite interesting, we're the opposite, you went from being agnostic to a born again, I went from born again to atheist. I'll be watching your forum career( Scared?? You should be!!!!!), so tell me more about this 'revelation'.

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down happy. They told me I didn't understand the assignment. I told them they didn't understand life.

Well, I think about it this way..if I am being fooled by such a being it isn't my fault. I've tried my utmost to know who God is, and if He is letting me be fooled, then He obviously has no interest in me. In that case, it really doesn't matter. If God is evil it really doesn't matter. If there is no God it really doesn't matter.
However, I have had direct experience with things like demonic possession. I know Satan is real and that he leads people into error..it doesn't matter what it is as long as it isn't Jesus. I've seen him at work, and his fingerprints are everywhere. The only real truth about Satan is in the bible, the one source he is powerless to destroy.

The bible was confirmed true to me because certain facts about God were made known to me so that when I finally read the bible, I could see it was about the God I knew.
Maybe some evil being has mislead you, the same way you think that Satan has mislead others...

So, then it doesn't really matter what you do...
And if there isn't a God, which I see being most probable, then you will have wasted your one and only life to a bunch of bullshit...

I think you need to reread my post..it wasn't just something I came across that I thought "Oh my, this is so beautiful that God must exist!"..it was a landscape, which I had seen before many times, which took on the nature I described. It was about as far from normal as you can get.

It's not an if to me. I know there is a God. For the sake of argument, I entertained your theory but to me there is no doubt. I am responding to that fact in the most appropiate way possible, by taking up my cross and following Him.
The way I know God is real, most of all, is because of love. When I came to know God is there, He showed me He had always been there my entire life, taking care of me. Giving me good things and keeping me out of trouble. He loved me first, and now I am returning the favor.
