Ahhh it's just like bike riding, you never forget really.. well, saying that, sometimes if i leave too long inbetween doing some work it takes me a few efforts to shake off that artistic rust, but it's never too long before I am back in my proper flow. Any teaser information about any drawings or paintings your thinking of working on?

I now use blood for my paintings, though.

Ah, oil, excellent. I'm only acceptable with the pencil these days.

That is certainly the case with me. The pieces that I am working on now are very painful for me to create. They require me to probe into aspects of my personality and being that I do not like. It takes a lot out of me, emotionally- I often cry when I do them. But at the same time I feel compelled to finish. They are my attempt to express my inner conflicts and explore what it means to be mentally ill in this society.

Wow...I wish I had that intensity, maybe one day I will progress when I can truly be in touch with my art.

Here's one of mine, but I'm not sure if it will equal any of yours.
I did this one a couple of months back; I'm almost 17, so I guess I haven't had as much experience as all of you;     I've got some improving to do.

Jolly that's a good drawing you did there, you have some skills. Drawing realistic faces isn't at all easy and for 17 you are doing really well. would love to see more of your stuff whenever you get a chance to put something up.

Thanks phaedra. So you working on any other stuff aside from the blood paintings, or are you totally focused on that?

I do some sketches and whatnot when I'm bored in class, but I devote all my creative energy to the paintings. I'll dig around for more photos of my older work to post.

Sweet, I would love to see some of your older sketches phaedra. In the mean time, here is a landscape painting I did for my mother last year.
