Science can prove a god must exist

RE: Science can prove a god must exist
So, still not providing any support for your claims?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I would love to believe that when I die I will live again, that some thinking, feeling, remembering part of me will continue. But much as I want to believe that, and despite the ancient and worldwide cultural traditions that assert an afterlife, I know of nothing to suggest that it is more than wishful thinking. The world is so exquisite with so much love and moral depth, that there is no reason to deceive ourselves with pretty stories for which there's little good evidence. Far better it seems to me, in our vulnerability, is to look death in the eye and to be grateful every day for the brief but magnificent opportunity that life provides. - Carl Sagan

Carl Sagan never provided any conclusive evidence as to why he believed there is no Afterlife though, did he? So he was merely expressing a blind faith position here. Very unscientific! Deplorable!

How many posts until you support your own position with something worthwhile? Can we get an ETA on something worth discussing?

Perhaps separate threads can be created for jokes and others reserved for serious topics? Just a suggestion.

This is a forum... It isn't a science lab.

You need to learn that humour can be mixed in with serious topics. Otherwise, I would have gone insane... And this isn't a very serious topic of conversation anyway... You need to get your priorities straight.

Be a little more light-hearted, it will make things more enjoyable...

Hahahahahahahahahah! Right! The problem though is that one cannot discuss serious topics when one is joking around, can one?

Repeatedly spouting bullshit is a far greater barrier to conversation.

Carl Sagan was a genius, you fucking fruit loop.

I don't think you even know who he was. Why would he need faith? He had intellect and a fucking PhD in astronomy. What do you have besides pseudo intellect and the ability to accuse people who have no faith of having faith.

Carl Sagan, blind faith?

You're the guy ignoring facts that don't allign with your afterlife bullshit, and you accuse Carl Sagan of having blind faith. Get bent.

Ultimate reality is not in any dictionary as far as I'm aware because its merely a term used within philosophy to indicate the underlying nature of reality.

If you want to talk about 'god' then address the concept by its correct label, don't be ambiguous about it.
