Jury convicts faith healing couple
Our favorite fucks are at it again killing their kids. I think it should be more than manslaughter.

Good. They deserve worse.

"Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber signed a law that removed the remnants of Oregon's legal protection for parents who rely solely on faith healing to meet their children's medical needs. The law, a direct response to the Followers of Christ cases, eliminates spiritual treatment as a defense against all homicide charges and subjects parents to mandatory sentencing under Oregon's Measure 11."

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

They probably prayed to be found not guilty too. A slap on the wrist compared to what they deserve.

I am against capital punishment, but I would make an exception for parents who place their religion before their child.

Quote:The Hickmans testified that David appeared healthy then took a sudden dire turn. Dale Hickman responded by holding his newborn son, praying for him and anointing him with olive oil. The parents said they never considered calling a doctor, and the baby died quickly.

Perhaps he was planning to saute him with onions and peppers?

How much do you want to bet that these two dickheads consider themselves "pro-life?"

"Dale and Shannon Hickman both testified in their defense.
When asked why he didn't call 9-1-1 once he realized his infant son was failing, Dale Hickman responded, "Because I was praying."
Asked the same question, Shannon Hickman said that as a woman in the church, she must defer to her husband. "That's not my decision anyway," she said. "I think it's God's will whatever happens." "

Please. And these people are the same species as me???? WTF
I would love to break that guys face.

No worries, prisoners involved in the death of a child don't fare very well in the gp.

I was 3 pounds at birth, in the early 80's and survived, so there is NO reason to do this. I had to go directly into an incubator, and life support. No shit this baby died.

Shit like this presents a serious dilemna for me. On the one hand, if all of the faithful would exercise their faiths in such a forceful and certain manner we would quickly be very short on believers ( a definite plus). On the other hand, I love kids (their deaths being a nearly infinite negative).

Yeah but kids raised by shitwits like these two tend to grow up to be as big a bunch of assholes as their parents.

Definitely a dilemma.
