Good. They deserve worse.
"Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber signed a law that removed the remnants of Oregon's legal protection for parents who rely solely on faith healing to meet their children's medical needs. The law, a direct response to the Followers of Christ cases, eliminates spiritual treatment as a defense against all homicide charges and subjects parents to mandatory sentencing under Oregon's Measure 11."

They probably prayed to be found not guilty too. A slap on the wrist compared to what they deserve.

I am against capital punishment, but I would make an exception for parents who place their religion before their child.

I was 3 pounds at birth, in the early 80's and survived, so there is NO reason to do this. I had to go directly into an incubator, and life support. No shit this baby died.

Shit like this presents a serious dilemna for me. On the one hand, if all of the faithful would exercise their faiths in such a forceful and certain manner we would quickly be very short on believers ( a definite plus). On the other hand, I love kids (their deaths being a nearly infinite negative).
