Abortion: Pro-Choice or Pro-Life?
RE: Abortion: Pro-Choice or Pro-Life?
The ubiquitous coat hanger. The next time someone offers a charged argument or image in support of their position I should just find a graphic coat hangar link and parade that around.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

LOL, Frodo, I will give you a hint...

*pst*

The sperm and the egg are already alive before conception....thats why we all laugh at your claim that life begins at conception.

I dont know..lol ...maybe the living sperm has a half soul, and the living egg has another half, and then they magically delicious come together and form a complete Jebus soul, that is now IMMEDIATELY guilty of original sin, and therefore deserving of death according to that fucked up book called the bible.

But hay..I may just be a dumb ass

As I said, whomever opposes abortion, fears that their daughter might get one.
Here, no one opposes abortion, really. But thankfully, such pregnancies are rare.

No no no, the sperm and egg have a much smaller overall fraction of the soul, when you consider that it is divided progressively back to the first cell. Maybe if we all lined up together we'd have one whole soul. As it stands we can all only have gotten fractions, as at least some portion of this soul must have been retained by the parent at least as long as it was alive, the rest being distributed among offspring ad infinitum.

"Life began" a long time ago Frodo. Before any unborn child was a twinkle in anyone's eye. You keep claiming that your beliefs have nothing to do with the position you're arguing, so I guess I'll have to let it ride.

I am Pro Choice for this reason:

5) Pro-Choice supporters believe that a baby should not come into this world unwanted because having a baby is a life-long commitment that requires consideration, preperation, and planning.

Quote:that a person begins at conception.

And that is the basis of these laws, frods. There is no escaping it. You are, whether you want to admit it or not, equating a gob of goo with a "person."

The nut jobs are simply taking it one step further and elevating the "rights" of the gob of goo over those of the woman who is sentenced ( assuming the meaning of the word 'sentenced' to = punishment ) to carry it to term and then comply with all of societies demands for her to play the role of mother.

Or...she can give it up for "adoption" and have it disappear into a foster care system which is creaking under the weight of too many children.
