So much more believable than the old testament, eh? Cool stuff, though I wonder what world the religious wackos will have left if they continue to be as psychotic as they are increasingly becoming.

First: Fuck, I would never want to live to 150. I already come too close to killing people on a daily basis, add more years dealing with people and I'll definitely end up in jail.

Second: The comments on that article are priceless.

I look around at the 7 billion people on this planet and wonder if living to 150 would be such a great thing.

First, I spilled my martini onto my chest laughing at your statement, Rhage.

Second...

Pharmacutical. Blahaha!

If I had known drugs would make me live to 150, I would have done less of them.

In fact, I actually read an article for a college class which talked about how, if there was going to be an increase in the maximum age that humans could live to, things would be a whole lot worse; there'd be overpopulation and most developed nations would become gerontocratic plutocracies. I should probably search in my personal archives to see if I can find it.

My first thought was, "Great, religious fanatics are working hard to make sex education, birth control and abortion illegal. So birth rates are going to be going up and people that don’t know they’ve just soiled themselves are going to be living an extra 65 years."

Then I read:

Quote:The company he co-founded was bought by GlaxoSmithKline for $US720 million in 2008.

and decided never mind, GlaxcoSmithKline will make sure only the upper 1% can afford to live forever.
