Questions for theists.
RE: Questions for theists.
Already spotted it. Believing in any of this shit in the first place. Next.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Spot the mistake

When you were quote mining, did it not occur to you that the part of tack's post you were removing was actually crucial to the statement? How very dishonest of you, as usual.

In fact, you're not supposed to tinker with people's quotes on this site, I'm pretty sure. So why don't you quote the sentences in full and see if I still look as stupid as when you're done manipulating them to suit your purposes.

I was very careful to use the word 'most' before any generalization of the Christian view. Did I miss one? lol
OH YEAH i said "I'm not a Christian but I think I can answer these questions for most Christians:" damn.

The belief that atheists don't go to hell is very recent and I will go so far to say that it isn't popular among pastors and priests. I don't think that's too far.

Rayaan and GC, would you not be dismayed if you were to die and realise that, for an example, the ancient norse religion was indeed the correct belief, and because you died of old age or disease, not in battle, you went to hel (different from hell, for those of a pedantic nature) and was denied entry to Valhalle. No einherjer for you! My point being that every religion on earth believes itself to have the one true answer to life, the universe and everything, as well as the only valid pass to "heaven". What makes you think your point of view is so special?

Because it's theirs.....Either of them can give you any reason they like, but in the end that's what it's going to boil down to.

You need to take into account the Bible, within this book it is said that God is the only god, there are no other gods. This is what my God says, besides as far as I know the Norse religion is a dead one and so are most of the ancient ones. The most important reason is the relationship with Him, I do not know about the religions but I do not remember them saying anything about having a relationship with their god/gods.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Woah, I tried to follow your argument there GC, but I got dizzy from going in circles. Need to sit down.

Nope not dead GC, despite repeated attempts by christianity to snuff it out. Nowadays they call it Asatru. If you think that christianity is the only religion that offers a relationship with god you're sorely mistaken. While we're on the subject, cracked a cold one with the big man recently? Just how is this "relationship" of yours progressing?

"You need to take the bible into account"....actually no, no one needs to take the bible into account. It's garbage taken literally, and mediocre overall metaphorically. Sure it has it's moments, but you have to suffer through some pretty boring shit to find them.

Begat begat begat begat begat begat begat begat begat. Annihilates a city. Ah finally, some action.

RE: Questions for theists.
I didn't say "I don't think people will go to hell", I said "I don't think anyone will burn forever in Hell." I think a lot of people will end up in hell, just not that they'll be tortured for all eternity.. which is the majority belief among Christians I've spoken with, am on forums with, and has been taught through seminary (well maybe not Catholic seminary). So unless you can come up with some statistics FlyingSkeptic, I don't think you're of a belief to be speaking for the majority of Christians.
"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post

My god says he's the only god. Q.E.D. Move along, nothing to see here folks.
