As is the wholesale slaughter of anyone really. They'd all be better off dead and martyred. God, in his infinite wisdom understood this and those pearly gates are capable of processing large shipments of souls very efficiently.

Forgive them. They know not what they do.
Then convert them as you learn to direct and control your passion.
That is part of the reward for those, like you, who demonstrate a social conscience.
