The entire argument rests on "You are Jewish but it's going to somehow lessen your Jewishness if you take part in any of the symbolism of the season" which is why I mention that the tree and such are pagan trappings - nothing to do with Christianity other than having been swallowed up by them.

Let's not get into the pagan symbolism that got neatly swallowed up by the Jews regarding Passover, another fabulous non-event that happens to be MY favorite Jewish holiday.

What about christian Jews, when they celebrate Christmas does that make them less Jewish. I see no reason that Jewish christians should not celebrate Passover and other Jewish holidays.
As for yourself why would you or any nonbeliever want to participate in a celebration you give no credence to. I see no reason that you and other nonbelievers can not participate in the gift giving, tree decorating, family, friends and ect. most of that has nothing to do with celebrating the birth of Christ.

"Christian Jews" is ridiculous - if you believe in Christ, then you are a Christian. Jews do not accept Christ as the messiah or a savior. So yes, if you believe in the saving power of Christ, I don't care if you want to say that Christianity came from Judaism, the fact remains that you are "Christian."
