I am still so damn happy religion is dying out in the US.

It's not like Christianity has ever been pinned down, either. 40,000 or so sects, each claiming to be the right one, is proof enough of that. Maybe we don't 'get' Christianity because there's nothing to get beyond a collection of uninteresting myths which espouse a reprehensible morality at least as often as it espouses something decent.
