It might have come up, somewhere, sometime, in the field of science.  Angel
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost

I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. No - Nobody claims that it is an inevitable result.

Gravity isn't a real thing but what is an attempt to explain why stones fell down.
So when we say that gravity was discovered what we mean is - an explanation as to why stones came down to earth was discovered.
I mean like, science is never going to find out the ^source^
Actually....
We have discovered what gravity is, a warp in space-time.
We have discovered the source of gravity, mass.
Now, why does mass clumping together cause space-time to warp? We don't know, yet... We've gotten this many parts of it figured out, why would you assume it's impossible to figure out the rest?

Or that it's random.  We currently view it as the very -opposite- of random.  Things proceed according to natural laws. Particularly in the case of the species we see - there is an exceedingly non-random explanation for that.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. It's still Paley's idea of the Watchmaker. It does not follow that because intelligent beings make stuff out of nonliving materials which defies the natural order of things that it must also be true that life must have emerged by an intelligent process. It seems very clear that chemistry allows for the self-organization of self-replicating molecules, and that the current complexity of life is ordered by very simple rules of particle interaction that do not equally allow for watches to be made without human intervention.

It's being tested as we speak.  It gets tested all day long.  I get the feeling that you think this leads somewhere that it doesn't.
