Please. After the verbal abuse and irrational hate you've thrown my way, an apology and a pledge to start afresh would be more fitting.

Let's see...

You did not introduce yourself properly in the introductions forum.

Then you created threads with the following titles:

"Exposing the Intellectual Bankruptcy of Atheists Criticizing Religion"
"When Atheists Can't Think Episode 1: No Evidence for God?"
"The New Atheists are back — and dumber than ever"

Each of them loaded with straw men.

Then you have the nerve to complain about the "verbal abuse and irrational hate " thrown at you?

Seriously?!

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

That's funny. When I saw "NuDeli" I didn't make the connection to the FSM. I took it as a sign on your part that you were contrite and were pledging to start afresh.

I was. But like I've said, change is not a one way street.

And don't you see how calling all atheists stupid, and incompetent, and illogical, and foolish, and all of the rest might be considered verbal abuse and engender a response in kind? -  -  -Particularly on an atheist forum?

I'm still cautious.  I tend to think that reconciliation comes in baby steps if it is to have any chance at success.  Certainly you can understand that.
Frankly, if you walk like a duck, look like a duck, and quack like a duck, you ought not to complain when people call you a duck.

One thing you'll notice about me is that I'm always ready and willing to acknowledge substantive and quality posts.

My post history bears that out.

You have to at least be open minded to the possibility that what I'm saying is true. Look beyond the sting of the insult and ask yourself if it might be true.

Sure it is, At least that's how I define change anyway and that's all that really matters.

Pot meet kettle. You can't possibly expect to hold us to a standard higher than what you're willing to hold yourself to and expect to get preferential treatment. That isn't how it works and at the end of the day, you're still an asshole.

No thank you.  Insults are immature and childish.  I'm not even required to respond to them in real life.  So even the few seconds of reading them here was a waste of my time.  Just FYI, calling me an atheist fits the duck analogy.  The insults do not.  I'm putting you on ignore now.
