Free will and humans

RE: Free will and humans
It isn't written or coded by humans......talk about ignorance......irony, thy name is Pool.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

So Rhythm, the computer magically came into consciousness and realized it can solve these problems?

Magic?  WTF are you talking about?  Realize?..obviously that's not a requirement. Consciousness?..it does it regardless. It does what you thought impossible, what you though it couldn't. End of story.  All of this..regarding your attempt to change the subject and avoid a direct question. Epic fail, imo.

Hehehe Rhythm, computers can't do shit unless they are coded to do something.
And what's with me thinking this was impossible? I don't think it's impossible to code an algorithm into a computer and have it perform a task.

I noticed that you did not even reply to my posts, which means that your presence in this thread is at least insincere, if not outright disingenuous.  Free will does not exist in human beings; this is absolutely clear in individuals who have schizophrenia, split-brain, temporal lobe epilepsy, Alzheimer's, dementia, aphasia, etc.  If you had a stroke in the Broca's area of your brain, your ability to speak would be severly impaired, as well as your ability to understand speech.  Such would not be a choice on your part, any more than your brain could choose to violate the Conservation of Energy.

Hi Jen.
If a human can form an algorithm then that human have free will.
Does these diseases hinder humans from forming an algorithm? Then they do not possess free will.

How do you know this?  If someone has multiple personality disorder and cannot even control which "mind" is active in their brain at any given time, how can you say that such an individual has "free will".  It's like saying that if a persona can add 2 + 2 and reach a conclusion of 4, then that person must have free will.  Lots of animals, mammalian and reptile, form new algorithms all the time; even bacteria and virtues form new algorithms via natural selection.  Are you saying that a virus has "free will"?

I think I didn't make myself clear.
The ability to form an algorithm to any given problem is called free will.

Can your bacteria form an algorithm to slap itself in the face?

It's a bit of a too much to ask for absolute free will Tongue
Here you go, I'll give you some relative free will.
