Why do the ritors ask for Justice?

I had to go over my orders of engaugement over and over and over, because my instint was to run, but I needed to be there backing my dad. So I stuck with what I was told to do. If anyone had shot i would have at least tried to kill 3 guys in the right order. would have probably stopped after than and ran.

At 12? So you're comparing a veteran of five years police service to a 12 year old getting instructions from his father? Seriously?

Once again, have you watched the footage? And do you assume that a trained police officer acts like a 12 year old with a piece in his hands?

Cop: You dove head first back into the car.

Again, the reason for the confrontation is meaningless. It is the action of the man that dictates the cop's action.

I'm sorry he got shot, but if a cop asks you to do something, acknowledge the request and announce everything you have to do to comply.

what the problem is?

You don't see anything wrong this scenario? Yikes.

The officer did NOT ask him to step him to step away from his vehicle, as is protocol when dealing with actual suspect. THEN the officer proceeded to ask "Can I see your license, please?". The man simply went to retrieve his license as the officer requested; He complied. This guy wasn't being arrested or questioned as a suspect for an actual crime. He was asked to produce documentation for ticketable offense.

"Dove" is a word the officer chose to use, because he knew he'd fucked up. He was grasping at straws at that point.

Trooper Sean Groubert's statement to his supervisor:
Quote:"I pulled him over for a seat-belt violation," Groubert said.  "Before I could even get out of my car, he jumped out, stared at me, and as I jumped out of my car and identified myself as I approached him, he jumped head-first back into his car. I started retracting back towards the rear of his vehicle telling him, 'Look, get out of the car. Let me see your hands.' He jumped out of the car. I saw something black in his hands. I ran to the other side of the car yelling at him, and he kept coming towards me. Apparently, it was his wallet."

Police officers don't lie, though. Right?

Was he fuck!! At the speed he moved his body towards the car, it presented 2 scenarios to the police officer:

1. Either he was going to produce a weapon, as most people do when they live in fear of attack in their daily lives. It happens in Russia nearly everyday where guns/baseball bats and crowbars have been seen in road rage incidents on youtube.

2. Or he was trying to get away.

In this instance, the way he "dove", into the car gave me the impression that he had something to hide. Remember, if you have nothing to hide, as a citizen, you comply by saying "sure thing officer", and then move to the car in a calm and relaxed manner.

I don't give half a shit what your story is. There's always someone who beats the odds. And it's not about black and white for once but about general chances in life and luck coming into play at some point. Or not, which is the case with most people. Otherwise we would all be one happy wealthy family.

I didn't have luck, I simply worked hard for what I have. I am not rich by any stretch of the imagination, but I have a family who do not break the law, I have a family who would comply, and I don't go out of my way to give shit to the police. Bottom line is this, you want to act tough to the police, fine, just don't go crying about it on national tv because you received a kicking. We have an expression which is also used in English too, "tu cherches la merde, tu le trouveras."

Which brings me to the reason as to why I respect the Jews, Asians, Italians and others. Why, because they work hard, they don't give shit to the police, especially the Asians and Indians. They (as drich pointed out don't act the alpha male role), they have a family to take care of and they do it legally. So, if I am not conforming to your standards, then sorry, I am not going to be a hypocrite.

In fact, I wouldn't call it racism, I would call it disrespect. I could only respect those who started with nothing and got to be successful. For those who are waiting on handouts and are not willing to work or to contribute to American society then, I can only disrespect them.

I was actually pulled over in my drive way by a cop that has been following me. he turned on his light two house away from mine. so instead of stopping right then I pull into my drive, I foolishly stepped out and jokingly asked did they want to come inside for lunch. One screamed for me to get back in the truck, the other shouted for me to step away. So I put my hands up and said when you decide what you want me to do ONE of you tell me to do it. They told me to get inside the truck. i told them I have a conceal carry gun in the cab and asked is that where you want me to be, without moving and my hands still up. then the driver pulled his gun told me to get on the ground, then the Sargent told me to put my hands on the truck. I did not move i simply asked them to make up their mind again and I ask the Sargent to please be the only one to give me orders...

Point being if they tell you to do something that you know may make the situation worse... just communicate. without moving and your hands up.

Did the cop screw up, yes and he know he did.. which is why he was screaming for him to get out of the truck. Dude panicked and seriously thought his screw up was going to get him killed. your right he did not follow protocol and it got the guy shot.

I can see it for the poor black guy POV as well. i am just doing what he asks and he shoots me...

If the black guy is retarded or lives in a vacuum/NEVER been pulled over before then I can see why he does not think to communicate with the cop about what has to be done to comply with the cop... If he is not and just had an off day.. then unfortunatly his error in this situation serves as a reminder to communicate and make you movements known before you do something.

I dunno, it seems like these cops got rocked.

The charges were dropped on the brothers after the video went public (funny how that works). So apparently you ARE allowed to resist an unlawful arrest...

http://www.deadlinedetroit.com/articles/...-bzC3ZME0M
Quote:The assault charges against two brothers seen fighting with Detroit Police officers in surveillance video have been dropped, Andrea Isom of Fox 2 reports.

The brothers, Tywonn Mitchell, 20, and Naybon Moore, 26, were driving to Grandy's Coney Island in May, when they say Detroit police officers began tailing their car.

The brothers pulled into the restaurant and the police car backed away, so they thought everything was fine.

But then the officers followed them into the coney island, and asked to see their IDs. The brothers asked to know what they had done wrong.

Their exchange ignited into a wild brawl, with each brother squared off against one of the officers.

The Detroit Police Department deemed this use of force appropriate and reasonable, and the brothers were charged with assault.

But nine days after the story aired on Fox 2, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office announced the charges have been dropped against Moore and Mitchell.

Mitchell is approaching his junior year at Madonna University, studying criminal justice.

He has a message for the two officers: "I forgive them and I don't hold any grudges for them. I hope they learned their lesson."

My point is people today are not use to experiencing being super charged or juiced up and often times panic.

5 years as a cop= 5 years of proceedures, not 5 years of dealing with having to make life and death decisions unpressure. That is what the proceedures are for, so that you can go by the book and not have to think about details. Those proceedures give you different conditions to check off inorder to make the decision for you whether or not to shoot someone.

What I am saying with my experience I know she had to be going over and over in her mind whether to shoot or not. So that means she was checking off the procedures that cleared her to shoot. Things like all of black guys compliance issues combined with him 'reaching' with the sound of the tazer.. There was no thought involved. by her trainning she had the green light to shoot. She was under threat and she her what she thought was a gun shot.

Take off your blinders and read the entire post, idiot. Including the link.

Groubert is a proven LIAR. It's indisputable.
That's why he plead guilty, and is now insisting that he overreacted as a result of PTSD.

You only see what you want to see.

Once again - did you watch the video? Where's the threat? Point me to the threat, any sane person would feel for at least 35 seconds. Until he actually reaches into his pockets. 35 seconds having his hands in the air, back turned, hands on the roof of his car, until he puts them into his pockets. You seriously think there was a threat, and there hasn't been any other option than to shoot? That the standard you expect from a trained police officer?
