He's an "outsider" and thinks that makes him a target for everybody. He's outside his pool of suck-ups and cronies, true. But he wants badly to be something more than a professional bankrupt, and thinks "statesman status" is something you can buy.

You'd think that would worry them even more than usual this election. Trumps ruining their brand on so many levels. Can't even be a racist shitlord anymore, for fear of being associated with the man.
