How the fuck is there a statute of limitations for rape in New York?

Murder is to unlawfully take life. There is a difference between murder and killing. a cop may kill someone in the line of duty but may never murder someone. the physical act/evidence being the same.

It not ok to call a killer a murderer. even in a case like OJ where the A-hole wrote a book explaining how he 'would have killed everyone 'if' he did it."

Because that is a slippery slope of injustice. For instance look at Oj again because he was thought to have gotten away with murder and because people saw him as a murderer he got a disproportionate amount of time (life) for essentially "stealing back" some of his old football stuff.

Any honest person would tell you he was being convicted of killing his wife and the other guy rather than a simple armed robbery.

Force sex is like killing. it is a description of a act that is not actionable/prosecution by law. good or bad,  like how one judges a legal killing is determined in one's own mind.

The difference though is that killing isn't always immoral. If you kill someone out of self defense, that's not immoral. If you kill someone by a freak accident that wasn't your fault, that's not immoral. Forced sex, on the other hand, is ALWAYS immoral.

...That's why people are freaking out over what you are saying. You're making it sound like you don't think forced sex is always immoral and always horrible.

Like I said to other's. 60% of the world population is asian. Traditionally speaking a Wife/Mother is not supposed to enjoy sex. It is considered dishonorable to want to have sex if one is not a "pleasure girl"/whore. To have sex outside a plan to have a child often involves consensual 'cohersive' behavior/forced sex.

In this 'game' it is a man's responsibility to be so good at what he does, that he incites so much passion in the woman she is overcome with it, to the detriment of her position/title, social obligations and honor. Most of the time (physical evidence wise) there is no difference between forced sex and rape. as cuts, bruises and blood are the semi norm.

The only difference is consent.

With consent forced sex is how most asian people are here, and who are any of us to say that is wrong.

Without consent it is wrong, and should be dealt with as far as the law will allow.

Ok, I did. As did she.

Your point?

The actual topic is supposed to be about the SOL on rape in New York. It's not supposed to be about fantasies. It's not supposed to be about grossly misinterpreting the law. It's not supposed to be about whatever it is that drippy has dreamed up in his pea-sized brain. It's not supposed to be about trivializing one's experience with being raped and telling them that "well, if you didn't report it in the specified time frame, then it's not rape and you are lying to get attention." Yeah.. he's pretty much said that.

So if you want to agree with him on those fronts, have at it. But if you know there is an overwhelming difference between the reality of being raped and role playing using rough sex, that is consensual between two people, then we can move on because that is NOT the topic here and it is NOT relevant to this discussion.

You don't decide what's relevant to the topic, I'm sorry to say.

You're right. I don't. The staff does via the rules:

Trolling
Trolling is not allowed. We consider trolling to be repeatedly doing any of the following:
  • Making provocative posts.
  • Making posts that are unrelated / irrelevant to the thread or conversation subject.
  • Disrupting normal discussion.

Bolding mine.

So explain to me again, how what you're asking drippy, is anywhere near the topic of the SOL on rape in New York.

How about mind your own business and stop telling me what to do?

How about you go fuck yourself with the sharpened end of a pencil.

Better? Rolleyes

There was a difference between the way I said it, as something I think is relevant for the topic, as in personally, and I'm free to do that, and the way she said it, like no, I'm not. It's the difference between adding an opinion and stifling one.

I do understand that subtlety isn't people's strong point here, generally, but do try and read between the lines sometimes. It's pretty much impossible to present my opinions in such a way that no one will ever find fault with them or ways to interpret them however negatively they want, so I won't worry too much about that. What you can do is pretend you don't have a clue what I'm talking about and throw rocks at me or try and have a genuine conversation where we both make an effort to understand each other before we venture to disagree about things.

no... forced sex describes the method in which copulation takes place.. Forced sex specifically describes sex taking placed under physical resistance.

Are you so simple minded that you can not conceive  a culture who teaches it's females to resist sex? That a lady does not XYZ when having sex? Can you not fathom a male environment who prizes conquest of women and would honor a man who can bend the will of women to meet his wants/needs?

All you have to do is go back a few hundred years in your own culture to see this.

Again it is possible for a woman to physically resist you and want the act to take place as badly as you do, but feels she must put up a strong fight to maintain her dignity/social status.. I am not saying this in the norm here in the west.. I am just saying it is not ok for you to judge where it is ok.

I have already considered what you have added to this thread, and it's been irrelevant to the current discussion.  You said yourself you only read a few posts on the front page before chiming in, and then when people responded to your post showing you how it's different from what Drich is talking about (which is contained in the preceding pages) you immediately got defensive.

Subtle enough for you?
