Thank you all for the answers. I've read some of them earlier but I don't usually respond unless I have something to add. I'll consider that intro thread as I don't have much to say.
Thank you for the warm welcome, that was very nice !

Try to gather what you can from what you know it clearly says. It's clear teachings. If you are Atheist, what should interest you is not it's laws or symbolic rituals but what arguments it has for God's existence and particularly the oneness of God.
There are many verses in that respect. I would focus on those. They are clear, short, and eloquent arguments to the point. However, you will have to reflect beyond your initial impression. You will need to reflect in both a "critical not assuming it is true" as well "charitable give it the best possible meaning", with that balance, you will be guided.

What does god need with a spokesperson?
What does god need with an interpreter for that book?
These are good questions, the Quran explains and answers each of these eloquently.

Care to share them?
Somehow, I don't expect those answers to be so convincing as you find them.

These are good questions, the Quran explains and answers each of these eloquently. Yes, the Koran explains beautifully why a god would send an angel to dictate his message to an illiterate merchant warlord who then had to dictate the message to a literate family member
and then flew around the middle east on a winged horse and married a nine year old girl.
God thinks it's fun to confuse primates. Larsen's God!

Honestly, aren't you tired of my rambles?
Give holy books a chance, what if one of them is truly from God? Then who better to convince you and explain to you then God himself!
