Good to see that even with political division and the current tension with Russia, science still comes to the same conclusion.
Quote:The Russian Academy of Sciences has become the latest body to declare homeopathy has “no scientific basis” and endangers people who believe it to be effective.

Surprising, considering that this is the culture that embraced Lysenkoism.

It's nice to see good news! Not that experts telling people something is bunk will convince many, but it's still good to see.

I mean..American culture has accepted all sorts of shitty ideas in the past too. I think they've come a liiiiitle ways since the 1920s-1950s.

Some homeopathies are legit. For example, my surgeon had me take arnica tablets and bromelein pills after my surgery to help with swealling. My cousin's doc prescribed her vitamin D supplements and fish oil supplements for her autoimmune disease.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Er...CL, homeopathy is not just another word for 'herbal' or 'natural' remedies. Homeopathy is a very specific, old school of 'medicine' that has its own rules and tenets, and there's no such thing as "some homeopathies." It's a singular institution. The rules just so happen to be absolutely nutty batshit silly.
Like, a vitamin D supplement has absolutely nothing to do with homeopathy, for example.

FAF is right, you probably took bromelain pills with actual enzymes in them. An actual homeopathic "drug" against swelling would work like this: Take a substance that induces swelling, and dilute it 1:10 fifty times until there is no molecule of that substance in it any more, knocking it against the table in a specific fashion at each step. Voilà, your homeopathic medicine.
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
