Christians don't count.
Isaiah 45:17 (TLB) = "But Israel shall be saved by Jehovah with eternal salvation; they shall never be disappointed in their God through all eternity."

Read my reply to WoG. The name LORD in all caps. refers to the trinity. No Jesus no salvation.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

If there is a God and if it is Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews and the God of the armies, then we are already in hell.

Yes we can lose our salvation. God won't turn us away if we come to him, but one who has truly believed can turn from him. The bible speaks of this in many places and is a necessity that goes with having free will. One can have faith in Christ, turn from him and come back. The door is always open.

So...there appears to be a bit of a disagreement. Never saw that coming.
Maybe you guys should figure it out between yourselves, and -then- get back to us with a definitive answer? It seems like it might be an important question..more important, at least, than whether or not godman's eyes were brown or blue.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I don't think the question is all that important. The important thing is that we're all saved by faith in Christ. If we're in Christ then we have salvation; if we're not in Christ then we don't. If someone says the sinner's prayer then runs off and ignores God thinking he's got a ticket to heaven, then he never had salvation in the first place. Like James says, our faith is demonstrated by our works.

The question of salvation..and whether or not you can lose it, is unimportant? That's strange, since christianity is nothing -other- than the belief in vicarious redemption. In salvation through christ. Salvation..everything about it, would have to be pretty damned important.....to that.
Hey, I do metric shitloads of good works...does that mean I'm saved? What if I don't want to be, how can I intentionally lose that? Can I? Damn...there it is again. Speaking of James and salvation...no mention is made of the death, resurrection, or divinity of christ. Does that mean that those things might not be required for salvation through christ...and does that mean that not believing in those things wouldn;t cause one to lose their salvation if they had it? Some People wonder whether or not "James" knew what the fuck he was talking about in the first place.
Fuck, again!
ps: the vacuousness of christian faith is appalling.

I certainly hope so. Jesus said it was possible:
Matthew 12:31, “Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.”
Cool.
The so-called "Holy Spirit" doesn't exist. The so-called "Holy Spirit" never existed. It's a stupid fantasy made up for the purpose of controlling others.
That should do it. I posted it online for the world to see.
Well, ok, just in case that's not enough -- The "Holy Spirit" is racist, misogynistic, and ignorant, incapable of even basic communication, incapable of
proving his own existence, immoral, and dumber than a retarded hyena.
Better? I'm sure many of you could improve on these efforts.

So true, about something supposedly so fundamental. One would think that God would have spelled it out more clearly!

Thank you for actually answering my question! And, it only took 3 pages for this to happen. But, "the door" closes at death, right?
