The undeniable miracle at Fatima
RE: The undeniable miracle at Fatima
Are we still going over this

The rest of the earths saw nothing

People a the site saw nothing

Just because they didn't expect the sun does not mean they did not expect a miracle

No one who studies space saw anything

Simply decreeing that believers have special powers to see said events is just ad hoc

Quote:accounts, which were thousands, were in regards to the sun changing colors and/or moving around in the sky, and all happened at the same time. I don't see how it is at all reasonable to conclude that all these people were having the same hallucination at the same time
That's how a mass delusion works otherwise it would not be a mass delusion

That's because I have absolutely no belief in the supernatural, and believe that "looking into this phenomena" is a waste of time and energy.  I have better things to do.  I could weed the garden.  I could play my clarinet.  I could go outside and watch the Perseid meteor shower.  I could even just go to the mall and window-shop, and I'd get considerably more pleasure than chasing down an alleged "miracle" from 100 years ago.

I'm simply not interested in Catholicism, Pabsta.  I don't believe in your god, I don't believe in heaven or hell, and I am not interested in eternal life.  You have nothing that I want.

At least the authenticity of the Shroud cannot be advocated with out committing heresy.

{for those of us desirous of actually having more True Believers and fewer heretics here}
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

^^^

This, in spades.

They have nothing I want either. Eternal life? No thanks. Keep your gods, I have no use for them.

I'm thinking Lourdes.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

I must have blocked that one out.

Then it'll probably be about saints or something equally banal.

I went to a catholic thing a while ago and the priest came out like a magician with a cup of wine and pranced around, put it in a box, drew the curtain said something and opened the curtain and removed the cup of wine as though he'd just done something.

Worst magic trick ever.
