...Sorry, did you say something?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

You refuse to see it even when your nose is rubbed in it.
I didn't think you could, that's why you gave a stupid reply.

Apparently more than you're capable of understanding, and it was so simple, too. How sad.

Actually, you've had your nose rubbed in it, in this thread and, as per usual, you refused to see it.
And I'm the one who gave a stupid reply...

And all for a cheap shot at superiority. How sad.

Better yet, how about helping us poor misguided heathens to understand, rather than merely pointing it out and leaving us to flounder in our ignorance? Sort of how a teacher would?
I've given you books, papers and pencils and have tried to teach you and I always find you sitting around chewing the erasers off the pencils instead of listening.
GC
Is it our fault the erasers taste better than the bullshit you're trying to feed us?!?
Besides, haven't you claimed repeatedly that you're not here to convert us?
Liar.

I said your reply as stupid because you did not show where I judged and you still haven't and no one has rubbed my nose in anything.

Liar.
No I have not made that claim, see the eraser has again gotten in the way of your understanding. If you had listened to what i have said you would have know I said I'm here to give witness to my beliefs and leave the converting to the only one who can do that, God! So you see I'm not a liar as you claim, you on the other hand are an eraser eating dunce sitting in the corner without a clue as to what Christians here are saying.

It is only in the west where people can do what they want that seperates the family into the dear old dad model you are use to seeing.
Quote:They hear "Father and Son" from a pulpit and they are going to think of dear old dad and themselves as the reference standard, two distinct individuals, and their resultant understanding of the Trinity will be incorrect and their resultant belief will not garner Salvation as they are denying, unaware, and mistaken about the true nature of Christ as, you note, it has been revealed in Scripture.
Indeed... which is why I think Christianity is failing in those who do not take more effort than a cursory glance at it. Pride tells them Christian is "E,F,G" and they never see E,F,G working in real life... therfore Christianity is dead.
Quote:And as always, it's even worse for the Mormons. If you have a copy of the Tanner book, read the chapter on their idea of how all that works as revealed (confusingly) by Joe Smith, and further scrambled by Brigham Young. I'd hold open the possibility God Himself might be perplexed as to what to do with Mormons as even He won't be able to make heads or tails of it. It's VERY clear the Mormons can't. They might even be impervious to a revisional revelation as we might expect the new revelation to note where the current belief is lacking and how it should be modified, and they won't be able to process that.
But as with the Parable of the talents, God only holds us responsible to what he has given us. Now if the morons have not been given the "5 talents" of understanding you have been given does not mean their efforts will not be welcome. It is not up to us to decide how many 'talents' they've been given nor if they doubled their investment or whether they burried it in the sand. That is upto God.

Well, I think your beliefs are completely barmy and your god completely nonexistent. If it actually existed and actually wanted me converted it would have already happened, as I've been familiar with the Bible for 53 years. Seriously, if your god couldn't be bothered to make its intentions plain to a curious 7-year-old girl, 60-year-old me can't be bothered with it.

My guess would be you are terrified of us and who we believe in. Besides you do not know me and to generalize all Christians means that I could generalize all atheist and I doubt that would be acceptable to you. I'm finished with this nonsense of your's, so do not expect an answer to your next post on this subject.

It doesn't matter what you think, your opinion means nothing when it comes to God, his Word and his people.
Why to what I put in bold above? Just being familiar with the Bible doesn't get you anywhere except for a small bit of knowledge anyone can glean from the scriptures. God knew at 7 you were not ready to understand and you were probably not ready when you gave up. If I remember correctly you said you were young when you decided God wasn't real. I have 3 years on you and I find God and his word essential for my life day by day. Maybe one day God will come calling again, I hope you are listening then.
