Roger Goodell sends letter to NFL teams
#71
RE: Roger Goodell sends letter to NFL teams
NFL owners apparently more afraid of big, angry, black men then they are of the Orange Turd.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/17/sport...trump.html

Quote:The N.F.L. for now will continue to let players kneel or sit during the national anthem without a penalty, capitulating to demands by the athletes for free expression but potentially further alienating fans who object to the protests and feel they are disrespectful to the flag and the military.

But, after a meeting Tuesday with union representatives and players, the league did promise to help support some of the causes targeted by the protesting players, including reform of the criminal justice system.

NFL is smart. They know whiny protesters have the attention spans of squirrels. Just hem and haw for a little bit, and then do nothing. Remember when the Redskins name was a big story? All you have to do is wait patiently for the dipshits to move on to something else. I'm surprised more companies don't do this. Wait a week, and then it's over, and the dopes are acting like something new is the end of the world.

Keep thinking that, lots of assholes back in the 60s thought that too, and they still lost.

I really find it sad that you think players pointing out REAL social and economic problems whom protest are the problem while the NFL OWNERS have been blackmailing tax payers for decades.

The players are right, the assholes bitching about their protests while excusing 45s sick vile demands of forced ritual are wrong.

Progress always seems to move forward, in spite of asshole bigots.

I am not a player no, but if you want to call me a whiny because I agree with the players protesting, I could give a shit less. Oh and your full of shit thinking they or I have the attention span of a squirrel.

Again, what the fuck are you talking about?

I'm calling Trump and the people who are complaining about the players kneeling the whiners.   I'm saying the NFL is smartly just going to wait it out, rather than give in to the demands that the players be forced to stand.  They did the same thing with the people complaining about the Redskins name.  They just waited a couple weeks, and the whiners went off to whine about something else.  I don't think the NFL is principled. Just savvy.

I 100% supported Kaepernick's sitting/kneeling.

I don't think I've ever come across someone as consistently inaccurate as you when it comes to inferring things.

Oh ok, gotcha.....

Yes I did think you were calling the players whiners, sorry about that. Now that I understand, we are on the same side, with one difference.

It would be nice to think the whining crybabies would have a short term memory but unfortunately what we see now was decades in the making. You saw how the GOP and their supporters freaked out upon Obama's first election, Turtle man and Ryan were out in front of the camera's the next day saying they were hell bent on making our first black president a 1 term president.

I would agree long term though, the bigots wont win. The same crybabies were saying black sports stars shouldn't protest in the 60s and 70s, too. But I don't think today's crybabies are as short term thinking as we'd like. I will would agree only that they wont win long term.

Sorry about that. I am just a bit edgy right now having to see that orange buttwipe on the news every day knowing the damage he causes every time he opens his mouth.

If you are wearing the flag you are violating the US Flag Code. You are not a Patriot.

If George Foreman ever decides to wear one you should tell him that.
