But a moment ago, you were saying that the Bible doesn't teach hell, so what are you saying, that it has some truth in it?
Well the bible doesn't teach hell.
The Harry Potter do not "teach" that there a platform 9 3/4 at paddington station. But there is a paddington station. Thus Harry Potter novels can be said to have some truth within.
The bible is equally a work of fiction which contains some trivially true facts. Like Harry Potter, while it has some actual facts in it's writings, it has a bucket of fantasy as well.
I decline to suggest why it might be that you are unable to understand that.

So what you said earlier, that all of the Bible is fantasies, isn't true, but that it has elements of truth in it - as far as you can perceive?

Atheists take cynical, pragmatic, rational approach to life. Theists think and act grand and are the opposite of atheists. Abaddon_ire seem to like simple approach to life of atheism and thus he is allergic to the opposite worldview which offers a lot of horrible consequences from invisible magical authority, if you don't comply to it. Collecting of evidence to support what you like comes after that, I think.

That's what people are led to believe about "ists," which I think is a generalisation... not that those classes don't exist, but because there is so much overlappping.

Do you agree that the Harry Potter novels contain elements of truth? As far as you can percieve?

Unicorns, dragons, talking donkeys, talking bushes, π=3, heaven is a cube 2400 km per side. The list is endless.

Just take one example that needs attention.

Heaven isn't a cube, it doesn't say that. Some people think it is.

It "lies foursquare" - 2414 x 2414 km. And the height is measured along it's diagonal contour to the peak of the mountain, just like the walls were measured from the same corner without moving around.
The whole structure has a maximum elevation of only 25 degrees, because it covers such a wide area on the planet that it rests on, that it bends over the horizon, which diminishes it's overall size and height.

Talking animals. The animals can't talk, but I wouldn't wait for evidence of supernatural beings called angels.
The issue at stake is how the human race responds to the contest between good and evil, which they have entered in to.
Angels are forbidden and held back by God to reveal themselves under normal circustances, and that includes the evil angels. Because people are weak by comparison, and easily overcome - by beings far superior in strength, ability and intellect.

Choices are important, characters are being formed.

Rev. 21.16 says you are wrong.

Quote:21:16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.

That's a cube no matter how you try to pretend it isn't.

The bible has talking animals aplenty, buckets of angels too. Even Satan was formerly an angel. Are you claiming that the bible is wrong?

According to the bible, the human race was forced into it. No choice was involved at all.

Not true according to the bible. God (a figment) has trivial bets with satan (an angel) over the fate of a man (men exist we at least know that)

Fantasies are also forming in the weak minded.
