How many rich first world nation's are there?

I'll file this story in the very thin folder of other Canadian mass shootings and place it in the drawer with the fat, multi-volume file of similar cases in the U.S.
Canada doesn't have strict gun control anyway. I don't know where that myth got started. It's got more liberal gun laws and more guns than all of Europe except maybe Switzerland and Norway. They have the same guns per capital as the US.
It's about context. For the most intransigent of 2nd Amendment boosters, anything not as extreme as the NRA's most extreme talking points is unacceptably restrictive. Subtleties like the differences between Canadian policy and policies in other, more restrictive countries are just facts. We can't let anything like subtlety or facts get in the way of a good talking point.

Total strawman, Neo. No one ever asserted that strict gun control laws will completely eliminate mass shootings or gun deaths.

Toronto is obviously too close to the US. You chaps should move it a safe distance away.

Yeah but you also pick up our bad habits..... like gunning people down for the fuck of it. People like Chad think that is simply wonderful Americana.

I'm sorry how many mass shootings in the states this year?
Id look to my own countries record before criticizing another country consider strict gun laws have prevent more instances like this .....Yeah so your talk out your ass
But tell me were are all those good guys with guns ? Surely every mass shooting should be swarming with these good Samaritans.
I didn't want to make this a gun debate but you just couldn't resist could you ?
Maybe you could post statistics that compare the rate of gun crimes in Canada with that in the US?

"Near America but not America."
That should be their slogan.

Why won't they? If no one is allowed to own a gun, what will they shoot people with?

A large truck, apparently.
