I admit that it can get awkward and inconvenient sometimes.  It's difficult to find new clothing and shoes that aren't manufactured in places with poor human rights records..  Even if I can find an item second-hand, there are some countries and companies that make me so uncomfortable that I just walk away.  Not much point in buying something if it gives you the creeps.

(On the upside, my sewing skills are getting a real workout.)

At the end of the day, even if a one-person boycott has little chance of prompting change, you have to do it for yourself.

That is the insidious part of the GOP, since Reagan, the GOP has sold the bullshit idea that if you just let billionaires do whatever they want, your paychecks will improve. Problem is, more jobs only mean more jobs, and the crumbs of tax breaks the middle class get, are eaten up by the billionaire tax break and inflation. So the pay gap all that time has still grown.

In a country where the majority are Christian, this is what winning politicians say. There is absolutely no way he's taking advice from the Pope. 

He was a colonel during Brazil's last military dictatorship, and that's what he's promising to restore -- with extra violence. 

The Wall Street Journal endorsed him, because he promises to undo all democratic protections for people and the environment that check business interests. This is where the world is heading folks. Business loves it.
