They could forcibly convert indigenous tribes....
I think they have more pressing issues to deal with.

I hope you're right. There seems to always be time for oppression.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

You believe what this guy says?
In a country where the majority are Christian, this is what winning politicians say. There is absolutely no way he's taking advice from the Pope.
He was a colonel during Brazil's last military dictatorship, and that's what he's promising to restore -- with extra violence.
The Wall Street Journal endorsed him, because he promises to undo all democratic protections for people and the environment that check business interests. The Canadian Broadcasting Company has downplayed his fascism and raved over the new business opportunities for Canadian investors. The New York Times uses words so mild as to be untrue, calling him a "controversial populist" instead of what he is -- pure fascist.
This is where the world is heading folks. Business loves it.
There's never been a Nazi that the business community didn't like*. This guy will be no different.
* Well ok Ernst Rohm is excepted.

I am so fucking tired of all of this.
People will continue to force their stupid, delusional religion on other people until the end of time. I quit.
