Kid arrested for not standing for pledge...

The development concerning the teacher making those comments didn't come out until late this morning. In fact, I still have not seen a single source besides CNN talk about that specific comment being made. If the teacher said that, obviously it's insanely insensitive and points to the fact that she's probably prejudiced against African-Americans. What the fuck are you talking about?

In her own statement she told him to go back to where he was from. She didn't state Africa but the implied meaning was there in the initial report. It's just more obvious now in the CNN one.

And again, she's not the sole problem here when it comes to racism or prejudice.

I thought you were done? What happened? So I can't even trust your word on when you say you're leaving a conversation. No one said that this teacher is "the sole problem... when it comes to racism or prejudice." You're the one adding these statements in, not me. How much longer we gonna do this for, grand? You don't work a job, do you?

I was done with you and then you said stuff to False Messiah that wasn't accurate so I'm butting back in. Hey, it's not like you've not said you're done with a discussion only to butt right back in.

And the last bit was more me emphasizing.

Nope. If I've ever said I was done talking to someone, I stopped talking to them. Every time. Because people like you on this forum love to have the last word and there comes a point when I realize I'm not being heard and my words aren't being read, sort of like right now. You've been going back and forth with me all fucking day. Don't you work? Are you that much of a shut-in that you spend all day on AF waiting for people to argue with you? I mean shit man, I actually have an excuse as to why I'm not working today. Do you? Holy hell dude you're fucking relentless. You win. Last word goes to granddizer. Jesus christ you're an idiot.

So now you're going to lie and tell me youve been consistent with your word? Hold on, give me a few minutes and I'll show one instance that shows you're not being honest.

Here are the post numbers:
#159 of the Liam Neeson thread and #82 in the same thread.

Maybe you should inform yourself before discussing something and also, if you want racist connotation about this case, few months ago a black girl was expelled from her high school for refusing to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/education...llegiance/

And indeed it seems racist to ask black people to make Pledge of Allegiance as James Baldwin once explained

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

The thing is, I was and still am informed on the situation. When I found out about the statement, I formed my opinion around that new information, which was not in any earlier forms of the article. That's how it works. What are you talking about?

That's been part of the story since it initially broke. That's -why- it broke.

Take a look at the published and updated dates. 14-17th. I particularly enjoy the "resisting arrest without violence" charge.

Resisting without violence was a charge that I went to court once. Well, the judge just slapped me on the wrist, made me pay a fine and told me to fuck off.

What exactly is the penalty for that anyway over at te US?

Depends on the state. In Florida, it's a first degree misdemeanor (one step below a felony). Penalty is up to one year in jail, one year of probation, and a $1000 fine.
