Maybe you should inform yourself before discussing something and also, if you want racist connotation about this case, few months ago a black girl was expelled from her high school for refusing to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

The thing is, I was and still am informed on the situation. When I found out about the statement, I formed my opinion around that new information, which was not in any earlier forms of the article. That's how it works. What are you talking about?

Depends on the state. In Florida, it's a first degree misdemeanor (one step below a felony). Penalty is up to one year in jail, one year of probation, and a $1000 fine.
