All the uproar about ICE trying to round up and deport those people who have had a hearing and not found eligible for asylum or other type of entry - seems to point to people wanting open borders.

After all - if you aren't going to deport anyone - what's the point?

Not sure what open borders have to do with anything...but people are getting all upset because people -aren’t- getting their hearings and being found ineligible. They’re being indefinitely detained in concentration camps for having committed no crime. Maybe you should be asking yourself your own question above, but more directly. What -is- the point of doing something horrendous for no reason whatsoever?

They need to fund proper facilities, hire more judges, hire more agents. BUT more importantly have better foreign policy so those places they are fleeing from become stable so people wont feel the need to flee.

What you do not do is house human beings like they are cattle. What you do not do is vilify entire groups of people. The last asshole who did that committed suicide in a bunker in 1945.

If you want to say we should kick out violent individuals, nobody is going to disagree with that. But most people trying to get in ARE NOT VIOLENT. And nobody is saying never deport. Nobody here is arguing that. What we do want is humane treatment in the process and finding a place to send them where they will not starve or get murdered.

And sorry, there is no fucking way I would rat out my neighbors whom have kids, and separate them from their parents. My neighbors are not violent criminals, and like any good parent would, you are going to do what you have to to protect your kids, and for many people that means fleeing from starvation and crime or war.

I think OLB makes a fair point (bet you never thought you'd hear me say that).  He's speaking about the raids that are targeting only those people who have already had a hearing and have had a deportation order which they are ignoring.

The concentration camps, while horrific, inhumane and illegal, have nothing to do with what OLB was talking about.

OLB was talking about people who have come into the country, been through the steps to apply for asylum, had their hearing, and been denied asylum. That's a whole other thing than the people who are being detained without having the due process of going through the system to be granted or denied asylum.

OLB asked if we are going to look the other way when the legal steps have been followed and those denied asylum are allowed to stay anyway. If being denied asylum means you get to stay anyway...why bother going through the motions.

Why are we spending millions (or billions) on going through the paces if the results mean nothing?

And again, any human, who is in the potential of going back to a place where they might die, is going to do what they have to to survive. He's falsely trying to make this about even non violent undocumented people, when the mantra was sold by Trump with words like "invasion" and "caravan", as if these innocent people WITH KIDS were an infestation.

The talk by Trump was not about solving problems, it was coded language to people with white anxiety that he'd protect their race. 

If he wants a solution, I gave him solutions , and those solutions do not involve vilifying entire groups of people.

I realize that hating on OLB is something you and Hurricane Man like to do but it's tiresome.

The same horrible sell of fear of migrants was done in American history to the Chinese migrants who built our railway system. The same horrible sell of fear was once aimed at the Irish(Look up Hell's Kitchen) in NYC. And the worst example, was innocent Japanese/Americans having their property confiscated and shipped off to internment camps during WW2.

If he wants people to show up to the process in the courts, he doesn't help them by scaring the shit out of them.

1. Fund proper processing centers so they are not cramped and unsanitary.
2. Hire more judges so people are not waiting forever in unsanitary and cramp conditions.
3. Hire more agents at the centers and at the border.
4. Have better foreign policy with the places they are fleeing so they become stable.
5. Get those non violent people, already here ,out of the shadows and give them a path to citizenship.

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY tell the orange bully to stop vilifying entire groups of fellow human beings.
