To put an even finer point on it. I’m glad that you can recognize disgrace when you see it, but that’s an awfully low bar in this case, and even so you continue to repeat alt right talking points.
Not even at an open border can people move without restriction or documentation. Open borders, in point of fact, make it easier to enforce restrictions and documentation.

If there are restrictions at the border, then it isn't an open border. If you're advocating for a border with LESS restrictions, then I might agree with that, depending on what you mean by that.

And I don't care if you're glad I recognize anything. Unlike you, I'm not obsessed with identity politics. I'm not looking for any lefty points or trophies. What the Trump admin is doing is terrible. The fact that you hope to virtue-signal over everyone who DOESN'T agree with you is also a disgrace, though.

I kind of figured your idea of an open border was limited to nutter talking points.
There are open borders between us states, and European states. That doesn’t mean that there are no restrictions or documentation ( and it doesn’t make people immigrants or citizens of the respective states crossing them, either).
None of this factual state of affairs in actual reality makes them “not open borders”.
Fun fact, the most ardent supporters of open borders between the US and Mexico..were pro capitalist conservatives.
For most of American history, the border actually has been operated as de facto or de jure open.

The main point is that I support borders with restrictions and have no problem with immigrants coming here, legally.
