The supreme court has ruled more than once that individuals to own guns is a right per the 2nd amendment see District of Columbia v Heller (2008), they also ruled that requiring gun locks and a requirement for guns to be kept unloaded violated the 2nd amendment as well.   The government needs a reason to restrict guns from people and we do this based on age, mental capacity, criminal history etc.  But the problem is that people can get a gun illegally pretty easy.  How can we reduce this while maintaining an individuals right to own a gun?

Then you've already changed the Constitution. Congrats.

So you are not really interested in a real conversation then. Ok.  You don't seem to want to deal with the reality of the situation, you would make a great politician.

Do you have a way to reduce the ability for someone to obtain a gun illegally?  I assume that by not addressing the question 3 times now you have none.

Hi

Apparently it's a big secret.

WTF?  You are the one not answering any questions or even accepting the reality that the constitution has not been interpreted by the supreme court like you want it to.

Do you have a way to reduce the ability for someone to obtain a gun illegally?  Yes or fucking no, which is it?

I guess.  I just don't understand the inability of someone to say "I don't know".  That is a good answer if it is an honest answer.  That is my answer to gun violence, I don't know how to reduce it.  But I do know that there will have to be the ability to reduce people from obtaining illegal weapons in my opinion, how we do this I don't know.

Neither are you. And the Supremes reinterpreted the Constitution. You're "defending" a modified version.

There are very few illegal weapons. The numbers are dwarfed by legal weapons illegally obtained.

My thought - require anyone adjuducated to be unable to own guns must obtain an ID with a "no guns" logo.

Then require an ID check in all gun sales.

Put the onus of inconvenience on the problem children - and leave the law abiding citizen alone.

What questions have I not been answering?

The modified version as you say is the version until the supreme court rules otherwise.  That is how our system works, like it or not.  So no you are defending a nonexistent interpretation.  And who cares anyway?  Your view of the constitution will not reduce gun violence one bit because it is the wrong view as determined by the supreme court.  Do you expect to just go into the police station and ask them to take away guns of people that are not in a militia?  How are you helping the problem if you cannot even live in the reality of it.
