Kobe Bryant dead from Helicopter crash

Was never into sports, but it's sad to hear. Kobe Bryant was arguably the best player of all time, and apparently was well-liked by everyone around him. What's more is his daughter died in the accident with him. Terribly sad.
If you're frightened of dying, and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. But if you've made your peace, then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the Earth.
I don't understand why this type of accident still happens. GPS can give you a 3-D representation of where you are superimposed over a 3-D topographical map. An aircraft like an S-76 is worth > $10 million U.S. The cost of such a system is absolutely trivial compared to the cost of the aircraft - to say nothing of human operators and cargo.
Shit is going to happen outside of our ability to control but controlled flight into terrain should no longer be happening. GPS should have eliminated this type of accident more than a decade ago.

Am I the only one on the planet who didn’t forget that this guy had a credible sexual assault allegation against him? I‘m not saying the guy deserved to die, and I can’t imagine what his wife is going through right now, but the way the media is treating him like some kind of god is, frankly, sickening.

Wiser words were never spoken.  Aircraft stopped responding to ground control somewhat before the crash. It was noted as flying below the level that was requested.
