Random Humorous Things - A Light-Hearted Thread

Actual poetry that makes sense...so refreshing, and rare, around these parts.

We actually had a 'Great Poetry' thread.  It died of acute mediocrity. If it had been titled, 'Mediocre Poetry', it might still be a going concern.

Dear men, what is stopping you from looking like this?

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I do look like that, a little. Take 25 years off the guy (and about six feet off the beard), swap the ravens for owls and the throne for a vibro-recliner, and we’re just about there.

I think you'll find that's a depiction of Odin, BSB. Hard act to follow methinks...

I know precisely what it is. People keep urging me to come to fancy dress parties as the Allfather. Or a pirate.

But we were asked why we don’t LOOK like that.

lol, hardly a socialite. But with the beard, the long hair, and the eyepatch, I get a lot of, ‘Dude, you should TOTALLY go as a pirate.’ This generally happens in October.
