Apparently, this is a thing. In Canada, salt used on icy roads splashes onto cars, and people are deliberately parking in moose-infested areas, hoping for a photo op of - you guessed it - a moose licking their car.

Just when you thought people couldn’t get any more stupid...

Who wants a moose's tongue frozen to their bumper?

This is true, And yes it is stupid.

A moose is not a creature to be trifled with.

Just got a mental pic of moose goading each other: ‘I triple dog dare ya to lick that car!’

And no kindly older moose with a pitcher of warm water to get the dumb one freed from the bumper....

I have a question...do you politely ask the moose not to lick your car?

I realize if you keep moving it would be difficult for a moose to lick your car but what if there's a reason you can't just drive away and are surrounded by salt-craving moose...mooses...meese?

Actually, come to think of it, the moose’s tongue probably wouldn’t stick to the car - they’re licking salt, which melts ice, so the car panels and bumpers wouldn’t be frozen.

I could be wrong, though - my experience with moose-licked cars is minimal at best.

‘Moose’ is the correct plural.

I think the government’s aim it to dissuade people from actively encouraging moose to lick their cars. Obviously, if you’re in bumper to bumper traffic and Bullwinkle ambles by, there’s not a lot you can do to stop him having a lick.

Yeah, I know moose is correct.  It's funny to me that it's mouse and mice but it's moose either way.  I think it should be meese.

The salt they use on roads is often combined with other chemicals that probably aren't good for meese.

I once saw someone use the plural 'mongi' for more than one mongoose. Near made me head explode.
