I know a guy who served in the USAF back in the '60s. In the barracks at the base where he was stationed, there was a Captain (Zero-3, in the USAF) who was just a shit of a Martinet. Now, my Navy story. The executive officer on my second ship was one of the above-mentioned Martinets. He'd come down into the (sleeping) compartment for an inspection, and was a complete bitch about it. DUST!   Officers have a different mess area , and someone sneaked in and left a steaming turd on his seat in the officer's mess. A real "mess", indeed!

While I really like doing my grocery shopping online there are some hiccups now and then. I buy a small bag of frozen mixed vegetables about three times a year to use in the parrot treat I make out of cornbread. I knew I needed to make more today and had just enough vegies left for this batch so I ordered another bag...first bag I didn't pick up in person.

So, I am putting the groceries away and find that I ordered, and got, a five pound bag of mixed vegetables.

Yeah, so that's gonna last for a while. ***Note to self, look a little more closely at the size of the item you are purchasing.

"Officer Country" on a USCG 210 Reliance class has in one passageway that had hatches at both ends - essentially making it a blind alley with all (except Capt) officer staterooms. One ship in particular had a joker that kept leaving turds in the passageway - and became known as "The Phantom Shitter" - who is as far as I know still on the loose. At one point some wag put a TP dispenser on suction cups on the bulkhead......l

The command was not amused.

Some programmer friends who can program in Metaquotes "language", (I can do a VERY little) programmed a financial indicator for me, to alarm when various "stars all align".
I didn't tell them what it should say, when it alarmed. I know how to fix that if I don't like it.
It rang the other day. The "pop-up" alarm said "The fat lady just sang on the Euro/dollar".
