What utter bullshit.
Panic driven, knee- jerk reactionism at it' s worst.
1. None of the guns are illegal.
2. AFAIK - a hotel room is considered a temporary domicile and you are ALLOWED to have guns.
3. Yeah - negative points for leaving a loaded, unsecure gun in a locked room that someone else has the key for.
4. Since when does the fucking mayor need to editorialize every infraction?
5. CNN should be sued for libel. There is NO evidence that this guy was going to go postal - and they certainly implied he was in print..
I hope this guy sues the fuck out of the city, the hotel and CNN.....

An out of state man with no foid brought loaded weapons into a room of a hotel overlooking a popular tourist destination over the 4th.

The FOID card only applies to STATE RESIDENTS.
He is not a resident.
They want to make it illegal for out of state visitors to own firearms?

He didn’t get pinched for no reason. He was breaking the law, with a gun, overlooking a tourist hotspot. That’s going to interest police anywhere.

Besides the fact that an out of state gun owner does not need ( or can even procure) a FOID card - what kind of bullshit is " does not recognise other state licenses?
Ok...
New law - you have to have a Michigan drivers license to drive here. It is a felony with huge fines to drive wirhout a license. No other state licenses are recognised.
Oh - and firearm ownership is a RIGHT. Driving is not.
