I think I'm kind of the same. For me, it's nice to see a diversity of races to an extent, but I also don't hold any "white guilt" when I go through some upper-crust suburb. It just is what it is. If we forced everything to be equal, that would make our country less diverse in some sense.

I like my own political outlook and I'd argue it's pretty rational, but I don't necessarily believe it's the best. Roughly put, I'm an "outsider left" American so instinctively I picked "socialism", "liberalism/US Democrat" and "Other". I clicked the "Other" option for democratic socialism.

Centrist republican (because the state is mostly republican, lets me have more influence, get more information). But when it comes down to it, especially state/federal, I vote person more than/over party.

Other, since this is an American forum, there's no option for social democracy, only for socialism.
Social democracy doesn't equal socialism. It only calls for checks and balances for the market and argues for a strong social network for the weakest links of society.
