And school shootings - it' s almost never a law abiding civilian being a good guy with a gun..... The law abiding tend to obey the " gun free zone" signs. Sure I do, that we have a problem with guys opening fire on people in public places, as your article mentions more than once in editorializing and in the quoted comments of the interviewees. It's not exactly a feel good story about a trip to a mall. I guess there's an unexplored angle there in how lucky our good guy with a gun was not to get shot by the other official good guys with a gun..who we've previously discussed, have no obligation to get into a shootout if they fear for their lives.

The last school shooting in the UK as far as I am aware was the Dunblane massacre 26 years ago, now the question is, which system keeps people safer? (hint, it isn't the American one)

I heard on NPR this morning on my way to work that there was a mass shooting at a mall that was stopped by a young man legally carrying a sidearm killing the shooter. A handful dead an injured, probably would have been worse without a level-headed person who was able to respond appropriately.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
