I think he's talking about the fact that one of the witnesses managed to take out the shooter, which still manages to sidestep the question of why the hell shit like this keeps happening, and only in one developed nation.
Also the fact that cases where an armed civilian successfully takes out a mass shooter are really fucking rare. And before you bring up Joseph Alvarado from Uvalde, I should remind you that A) he's not a civilian, he's a border patrol agent who just happened to be off duty, and B) he didn't actually shoot the killer, he never even encountered the killer, he even flat-out said so in a later interview, specific remark at 5:57:
Worth noting as well, the shooter only killed three people? That's not even enough for an according-to-Hoyle mass killing.

@ onlinebiker
I may have a solution that would free up law enforcement personnel to run more (and more thorough) background checks for gun purchases. It's simple, has widespread popular support, and would have a positive ripple effect on your economy: legalize recreational marijuana.
I won't go into why that would help, I want to see if you can work it out on your own.

I'm not sure that a paranoid nut getting baked would lead to any improvement or better understanding. If you're worried your neighbors will gut-fuck you absent a deagle in your underpants then about an ounce later you'll probably be giving blue jays side eye for plotting on you.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

If it just mellowed him out, that would be an improvement. His ass is more water tight than a duck's.

No, I don’t use weed in any form. PLEASE try to reason this one out - it’s actually a serious proposal.
